Geography Games Collection

seterraImproving place knowledge has been a theme running through all work units for key stage three students this year. We have discussed with students how important it is for them to develop ‘mental maps’ of different scales, ranging from their local area to the global arena – and they have been enthusiastic in their efforts to make progress in this area.

Regular use of atlases and atlas software, maps from memory exercises, and plenty of map sketch drawing infiltrate all lessons, and students have been keen to compete with each other using a range of geography games.
