London Olympic Site Tour

The forthcoming London Olympic events have provided a range of opportunities for school geographical study. This recent article from the Guardian newspaper is an up-to-date interactive tour of the site, with maps and links to short films. I visited the developing site in a fieldtrip at last year’s GA conference, and it has certainly come a long way since then! I am really looking forward to July – in the realisation that this occasion will probably not be repeated here in the UK in my lifetime. However, i will be interested to see how the transport planning holds up – I fear there may be serious problems in this area.
